QC photos can support a visual inspection of the photographed item, but they cannot prove authenticity, hidden materials, durability, seller reputation or the condition of a later shipment.

Start with coverage

Count useful angles rather than total images. Front, back, both sides, labels, closures, soles or interiors may matter depending on the category. Repeated glamour angles do not replace a missing measurement or detail shot.

Use reference points

A ruler or scale is useful only when readable and positioned correctly. Perspective can distort length and shape. Compare measurements with the listing and your own reference item, and note any unexplained mismatch.

Treat color cautiously

Lighting, white balance, compression and displays change color. Compare several images under consistent lighting and use written color labels. A single photo should not decide a subtle color dispute.

Separate defect from preference

Record observable details such as a loose thread, uneven edge, scratch or misalignment. Then decide whether it matters to you. Avoid unsupported claims about batch quality or what every buyer would accept.

Request the missing evidence

Ask for the angle or measurement that would change the decision. If no image can answer a question about feel, material chemistry or durability, keep it unresolved instead of overstating the photo.

Working checklist

• Confirm the photographed variant.
• Check useful angles and focus.
• Read measurement references carefully.
• Compare written and visible color information.
• Record visible defects neutrally.
• List facts the images cannot establish.
